Aboubacar Konate
Team Leader
Konate is an inspirational and business speaker, an Enterprise sales developer, mentor, trainer, and storytelling expert who has empowered over 20,000 people across 2 continents and many countries since 2021. With a background in sales, business development and marketing, he brings strong skills in negotiation, and intercultural cooperation. A Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) fellow, he has spoken at global platforms such as the World Youth Forum in Egypt, the Change the World MUN, TEDx. In 2022, he became President of the Toastmasters International Club Karlsruhe then Area Director.
Konate is passionate about leadership, communication, community building and helping others unlock their full potential.
Montanna Owens
Event Management & HR Manager
Montanna Owens is TEDxKarlsruhe’s Event and Volunteer Manager. A political scientist, philosopher, and storyteller, she brings heart and strategy to every detail. From Ohio to Karlsruhe, she’s led projects in social justice, tech, and sustainability. At TEDx, she’s crafting a space where big ideas meet bold action and every volunteer feels inspired.
Alexander Lang
Lead Speaker Coach
Alexander Lang’s journey began in Germany, where he built a successful career in sales before a rare muscle disease led him to reinvent himself. Alex now helps speakers to make their messages clear and effective. His personal experience in a wheelchair shaped his focus on barrier-free communication—breaking down physical and mental barriers with empathy and a sharp eye for connection. As a systemic coach, trainer, and speaker delivering in German and English, Alex is known as “the unconventional therapist” for his humor, depth, and practical techniques. Rooted in Toastmasters International, Alex’s passion for speaking shows how great communication builds bridges, opens minds, and connects people.
Abdoulaye Djakite

Abdoulaye Djakite is a Marketing and Executive Presence expert passionate about societal change, focusing on free education for underserved children and youth integration. He aims to become an international leader in politics and education to promote a fairer world. Through TEDxKarlsruhe, he wants to share untold stories that inspire positive change and growth.

As Head of Speaker Curation at TEDxKarlsruhe, he leads the selection of impactful voices, blending expertise and passion to create meaningful change.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Management with a focus on Sustainability and Globalization at Karlshochschule, Thi Phuong Thao Nguyen brings 15 years of Finance & Accounting experience from Vietnam and Myanmar. She combines strong analytical skills with a deep passion for climate issues and is now contributing as the Finance Coordinator at TEDx.

Logistics Manager
Simbarashe Chadini is the Logistics Department Leader at TEDxKarlsruhe. With an M.A. in Management and a background in project coordination, data analysis, and process optimization, he thrives in dynamic environments. As the PR Lead for TEDx Karlsruhe, Emilyn channels her deep passion for accessible education - a cause that drives much of her work and personal mission. Emma Biney
PR TEDx-ER
Emma Biney is a researcher and master’s student currently pursuing an M.A. in Social Transformation-Politics, Philosophy & Economics. With a background in International Relations and Politics, she brings experience in policy research, market analysis, and strategic communication, along with a growing interest in global and regional security. Emma has contributed to research on Africa-China relations and supported corporate operations in banking.
At TEDx, she plays a key role in Website and PR support, combining analytical insight with a passion for storytelling. She is driven by the power of ideas to inform, connect, and spark lasting change.
